Ex-RNLI Samuel and Marie Parkhouse/OnirosBuilt in 1938 by J. Samuel White of Cowes, yard no. W1832, and now privately owned, the Oniros was present at the lifeboat gathering in Gothenburg on 2 June 2007. She originally cost GBP 8,451.
She is a Watson type with a wooden hull, length 46 feet (14.02 m), beam 12 ft 9 in (3.89 m) and a draught of 4 feet (1.22 m), displacing about 20 tons. Two 40 hp Ferry engines driving 2 propellers provided a speed of 8 knots. Carrying 764 litres of fuel she had a range of 200 nautical miles. With a crew of 8, she could carry up to 95 survivors. She was stationed at RNLI Salcombe, Devon.
