Kalmarsund - Minelayer at the Maritime Museum

Photographed at Maritiman in Gothenburg on 14 June 2008.
This is minelayer MUL 13, built by Orlogsvarvet (the Government warships yard) in Stockholm, entering service in 1953.
Length 29 m, Beam 7.4 m, Draught 3.1 m, Displacement 240 tons. The warship at the right is the destroyer HMS Småland.

Your terminology of 'HMS' isn't exactly correct. It should only be used for Royal Navy ships (His/Her Majesty's Ship)

I beg to differ, David:
Here is an extract from the official Swedish Navy web site, as an example of the use of "HMS" in Sweden . . .
"I mitten av oktober 2006 sattes korvetten HMS Gävle som första svenska örlogsfartyg någonsin i FN-operationen UNIFIL:s marina del. Under benämningen ML 01 respektive ML 02 verkade HMS Gävle och HMS Sundsvall tillsammans med en nationell lednings- och stödgrupp utanför den Libanesiska kusten."
Don't forget that Sweden also has a Royal Family and a King!
