Your Boat Photos

The occasion was the 100th anniversary of the opening of the fishing harbour and fish market, located behind me when I took the photograph. Nowadays this part of the harbour is only served by lorries, as the catches are mainly landed at Fiskebäck, to the south of Gothenburg.

I can assure you that there was no Photoshopping involved, I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time. Unfortunately the tourist boats have stopped running now, and I have to wait until next May for more similar photo opportunities. Aircraft museums are next on the agenda, photos taken in those in Munich coming soon!

Strangely enough, I had to wait a few seconds until the rainbow was centred in the frame. That patch of blue sky was a miracle, see all the clouds at the right side! I had to take the picture through a window, something I normally try to avoid, but in this case I wanted to prevent the spray from getting on to the lens.
